Fake vet jailed at Lincoln Crown Court

East Midlands' law firm, Bird and Co. Solicitors LLP, involved in the successful prosecution of fake vet Leonard French

Dog breeder Leonard French, 69, from Tattershall Bridge, Lincolnshire, posed as a veterinary surgeon importing and selling drugs not approved for use in the UK. He was jailed for 12 months at Lincoln Crown Court after admitting 20 charges, including selling unlicensed drugs to the public and acting as a vet despite not being registered. The case for the prosecution, brought by DEFRA, was led by Bird & Co. Solicitors senior partner - Christopher Milligan.

French faces a confiscation hearing in October when officials representing the Government will attempt to seize the money he's alleged to have made.
