Estelle joined Bird & Co. Solicitors in 1995 - the year in which she qualified as a solicitor. She undertakes family law casework - specialising in child law, especially care proceedings. She is also the Firm's nominated "Training Principal" and as such has overall responsibility for providing supervised experience in legal practice to those offered a training contract by the Firm.

Estelle is a member of the Law Society's Children Panel and a member too of "Resolution", an organisation of lawyers and family justice professionals who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters.

Local/regional community commitments include membership of the St John's Ambulance Committee for the Child Contact Centres in Grantham, Spalding and Skegness. She has also, since January 2005, been a member of the Governing Body of a local secondary school - the Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School.
